Prayers that you might find helpful in your journey with God

The 5:00 p.m. Saturday worship service is a traditional style Lutheran service using the Lutheran Book of Worship and With One Voice. The 9:30 a.m. Sunday worship is a a blend of traditional with some updated contemporary worship elements. Please check out the services to see what may best meet your needs. Casual attire is fitting at any of our services.

We offer Holy Communion at worship services through the month. On the first and third Sundays of the month and the preceding Saturdays we celebrate Holy Communion. We celebrate Holy Communion as well during the Easter season and church festivals. St. John's invites all baptized persons who believe Christ is present with the elements of bread and wine to join us at the Lord's table. Laying on of hands and anointing with oil for healing is offered regularly every month at a weekend service.

We also have celebrations for holy days that are not Sundays and in special church seasons. Some of these services are in cooperation with other churches. Check Events for the listing.

St. John's offers a creative nursery program Sunday mornings September to May. The paid adult staff read stories, lead crafts and play creatively with the children.

We're Anchored in the Lord and Witnesses to the Community.

Choirs

The Sanctuary Choir sings every Sunday for 9:30 a.m. worship from September to June and at special services through the year. The Sanctuary Choir rehearses Thursdays evenings at 7:00 p.m. All adults who like to sing and praise God are welcome to join this choir.

The Sancturary Choir expands for additional music for Christmas time and Easter time. Special rehearsals (usually on Sunday after worship) prepare the special music. Please come to sing.
