KITS Cooperstown trip, Wednesday, October 1

The trip will leave by bus from the First Lutheran Church parking lot at 9:45 to enjoy a wonderful lunch at the Otesaga and then a cider mill stop.

 

Blessing of Animals, October 4, 11:00 a.m.

The Center City Churches of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church and St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church hold a Blessing of the Animals in the St. John's courtyard. Bring your companion pet or even a stuffed animal for a blessing. Pictures are also welcome if your pet does not travel well. If the weather is inclement, we will have the service of blessing in St. John's Fellowship Hall.

World Communion Weekend
October 4 and 5

Communion Service, Saturday at 5:00 at the Cemetery Chapel

Communion Service at 9:30 a.m., Sunday at the Church sanctuary, 160 Central Avenue.

Service of Healing, October 12

Service of Healing at the worship service Sunday, as we ask for God's strength and blessing through laying on of hands and anointing with oil. We thank God for the promises of wholeness.

CREDO Presentation, October 18, 1:00 pm

"Growing Up and Out as an LGBT Christian: A Sharing of Stories about How our Faith Communities Have Shaped Us and How We Can Shape Them" This includes a moderated panel presentation followed by a Service of Healing and Anointing.

October 26 — Confirmation

Youth of St. John's will be affirming their Baptisms in the Rite of Confirmation. Please join us for this special celebration. We also celebrate Reformation Sunday in this special way.
